Overview

Imagine yourself strolling through Leipzig on a Friday afternoon in the first half of the 18th century...

You simply had to open the door and enter into Mr. Zimmermann’s Café to join with other music lovers, not to mention lovers more earthly fare as well, to listen to the Collegium Musicum led by Georg Philip Telemann or Johann Sebastian Bach.

Slide onto one of the plush banquettes and revel in the sound of flutes, violins, cellos and harpsichord in lively musical dialogue in works of two of Mr. Zimmermann’s most famous music directors.
