Additional information

Our flute and guitar duo seeks to immerse the audience in the Vienna of 1814–1815.

At that time, balls were held almost daily in the salons and gardens of Vienna. The guitar was particularly in vogue, and new musical compositions reflected a reminiscence of the Viennese style.

The years 1814 and 1815 were also marked by the Congress of Vienna, which followed a period of political upheaval and established a new harmony: while the Grande Sérénade reflects the turmoil of the time, Carulli's composition brings calm and balance.
