Café Zimmermann invites Lorenzo Coppola, a virtuoso of historical clarinets, to share his passion for Mozart’s theatrical language. The music comes to life, reviving a vivid gallery of characters—from the cheeky maid to the grumpy old man in his nightcap, the lovestruck woman, or the mischievous rogue. Sounds, accents, and dynamics highlight the actors’ gestures, even when replaced by instruments. It’s up to each of us to imagine the libretto of these miniature operas and catch glimpses of Susanna or Cherubino as charming seducers in the turns of a trio or quintet movement!
