Baroque en Balade's 2nd anniversary!
Exactly two years ago today, our road trip through Provence began...
What's Baroque en Balade?
Based in Aix-en-Provence, we decided to develop a program of chamber music concerts throughout the region.
From recitals to quartets, Baroque en Balade is making its mark in the surrounding cities in a spirit of closeness and conviviality. Serving as a true bridge between artists and residents, these concerts offer an opportunity to discover (again) the Baroque repertoire in unique and intimate settings, such as churches, chapels, or small venues.
And 2 years later?
The first “Baroque en Balade” concert took place on April 13, 2024, at the Sainte-Croix Church in Le Tholonet. This inaugural concert marked the beginning of a partnership with the city, which subsequently hosted one concert from each program.
But that’s not all! From Meyrargues to Cabriès and even as far as Salon-de-Provence, we have been developing a network of partners over the past two years to offer a variety of venues and reach all audiences.
Nowadays, the program is also becoming more diverse, with the inclusion of concerts for kids and families during school breaks, because baroque music is for all ages!
